Meet the Team

Jess

Jess is the proud founder of The Nurture Project and holds a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education from the University of Melbourne. She spent 10 years teaching in the classroom, primarily working with Prep and Year One students, before moving into a wellbeing role within the Department of Education where she supported vulnerable children and families, helped secure funding for additional needs, and trained educators in inclusive support strategies.

Jess’s passion for early intervention became deeply personal when her own son developed a stutter at age three. Navigating the challenges of accessing timely support inspired her to create The Nurture Project, with the goal of helping families access the guidance and early support children need during these critical years.

Outside of her work, Jess is a mum to Toby, Mackenzie and Charlotte and loves nature, play-based learning, and supporting children to thrive.

Anthony

Anthony is the homesteader, farmer, and maintenance lead at The Nurture Project Homestead. He plays an essential role behind the scenes, caring for the property, maintaining the spaces, and supporting the daily farm operations that help bring the program to life.

With a passion for hands-on work and problem solving, Anthony is always finding new ways to improve the homestead and ensure the animals, gardens, and outdoor environments are well cared for. His work helps create a safe, engaging, and nature-rich space for children to explore and learn.

Anthony enjoys being part of bringing Jess’ vision for the homestead to life and supporting the beautiful environment families experience there.
